It all begins with an idea. Sweetie Bean started from the simple need: I wanted cute and adorable stickers in color palettes I found interesting for my planners and bullet journal. You know what they say….if you can’t find it, make it! My need for cute things, and my love for learning new crafts is where Sweetie Bean grew legs in 2019. But, if I’m going to tell the whole story, I have to share that Sweetie Bean wasn’t it’s first name. Originally, I started this business under the name BJB (Bullet Journal Babes) which is what my friends and I called ourselves when we met up once a month to draw in our bullet journals, or setup our planners for the coming month. Once I got started making sticker sheets, I really felt like I wanted to make more than just bullet journal/planner stickers. I wanted a business name that meant more to me and felt more personal, and finally landed on Sweetie Bean. Sweetie Bean is what my dad has called me my entire life. He passed away in 2017 very suddenly, and naming my business Sweetie Bean felt like such a great way for me to have him a part of my every day business. Plus, it’s cute, duh! I find so much joy in learning how to do things myself, that is why 99% of what I create is handmade. I have used manufacturers in the past for things like keychains, but I just don’t feel as proud if I don’t make them by hand!

Much like a Pokémon, Sweetie Bean has evolved over the last few years. I would say as it stands now, we are in that middle evolution. I’m ready to build for whatever is next. Welcome to my little corner of the internet where my goal is to offer the cutest and most accessible handmade stationery, original art, and hand crafted goodies! I hope to pack an order for you, or see you at my next art market or convention! Thanks for stopping by!~

TL;DR: Hi, I’m glad you’re here! If you like cute things/stationery/art then you’ve come to the right place. Okay, I luh’ you, g’bye!

Welcome to Sweetie Bean!

Hi I’m Allesandra!

I am the face behind Sweetie Bean! I was born/mostly raised in Colorado, moved to Tennessee when I was 14. I have always found joy in art, and I always hoped to figure out a way to make a living off of something I love one day. I’m not quite there yet, but I have every opportunity to! I have planted roots here in Tennessee, even though I am the last of my family still here. I married my college best friend, Kiah, 10 years after we first formed our very special friendship. I am loved and supported in so many ways by him, I understand how truly lucky I am to have him as my life partner. We currently have two dogs Gooby and Stinky (Ruby and Isabelle - but we only call them by that when they are in some deep doodoo), and one cat who verbally assaults us daily on sight, named Sen. I currently work full time managing a real estate company, and am grateful to be able to run Sweetie Bean along with it! I love collecting miniature things, video games, 80s music/movies, 90s tv shows, and birthday cake for no dang reason.

I vend solo as Sweetie Bean at occasional markets, but most markets/conventions I vend with my amazing friend (and literal next door neighbor) Kassandra! Our names, art, aesthetic, and personalities are so similar, we love to vend together as Wise Bean Designs!
